Ayres has a specialist team with more than 70 years of combined experience in Latin American markets. The Firm currently manages two thematically driven investment funds and offers vast experience as the dedicated advisor of a managed accounts platform.
We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Analyst to join our team. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is key to maintaining and optimizing the firm’s operational infrastructure. The analyst will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of trade processing, reconciliations, and risk management across a wide range of asset classes. You will work closely with trading, investment teams, and external service providers to support the seamless execution of daily operations and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities
• Support trading and investment teams with operational controls across asset classes (Equities, Credit, Swaps, Repo, OTC Derivatives).
• Perform daily trade capture, review, and matching of trades; ensure timely and accurate recording of investment transactions and positions.
• Reconcile cash, positions, and prices between internal systems, prime brokers, custodians, and administrators.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, ensuring timely settlement of trades by liaising with prime brokers, executing brokers, and administrators.
• Assist in stock loan and portfolio financing optimization, including margin management and collateral monitoring.
• Monitor and process corporate action events, manage elections and liabilities for portfolio managers.
• Support daily and monthly valuation processes, including P&L calculations and swap settlements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Update internal databases and presentations with fund returns and positioning.


Qualifications and Skills
• 3+ years of relevant experience in operations, finance or a similar capacity (bank, asset manager, brokerage or administrator).
• Strong communication skills and presentation skills; ability to interact with traders, portfolio managers, external counterparties & service providers.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized; able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with low supervisión.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
• Knowledge of global credit markets and related products desirable.
• Experience with matching platforms such as Ice, Traiana, Markitwire.
